The Neighbors Pantry of Londonderry: Giving Tree Fundraiser 2021
The Neighbors Pantry, in conjunction with area churches and community members, is once again organizing the annual ‘Giving Tree’ program. ‘The Giving Tree’ program is where we provide gifts – one toy and an article of clothing – to young people in our community who may be in need. It's a great joy to organize this program every year!
Due to the ongoing pandemic we are approaching the ‘Giving Tree’ program in the same manner as we did last year: Parents and/or caregivers sign up young people under 18 (for whom they have primary custody) for one toy item and one gift card - to be used for an item of clothing. Parents and/or caregivers are offered a choice between four clothing stores for the gift card. This is a total of two gifts for each young person. In order to minimize contact and exposure, Pantry volunteers make all the purchases. The Neighbors Pantry will provide a toy and a clothing gift card for 30 young people at Flood Brook School and approximately 20 additional young people whom we sign up through the Neighbors Pantry – that’s a minimum of 100 gifts! - and we spend approximately $75-$80 per young person.
How can you help? Glad you asked! We need funds to make all of this happen!
Please know how very grateful we are, and the young people in our community are, for contributions toward this effort. Checks may be made out to and sent to: The Neighbors Pantry
Giving Tree 2021PO Box 77 Londonderry, VT 05148 ** PLEASE WRITE GIVING TREE IN THE NOTE LINE OF THE CHECK! (If a member of the community feels really strongly about purchasing an individual toy item, in lieu of donating funds toward the purchase of gifts, they may call the Second Congregational Church, 802- 824-6453 and request to purchase an item that is needed.) Your support and financial contributions have never been more important - or more appreciated! THANK YOU!
